Performance & Safety Features for the Road
- High-Efficiency Transit: Maintain a higher average pace to cover long distances in less time, making these electric bike models a viable, eco-friendly alternative to a vehicle.
- Integrated Safety Systems: Equipped with high-output lighting and hydraulic disc braking systems designed for consistent stopping power at higher ebike assist levels.
- Pedal-Assist Precision: Class 3 systems focus on power delivery through pedaling, ensuring a natural electric bike feel while providing the torque needed for headwinds and inclines.
- Urban Durability: These ebike frames are reinforced to handle the vibrations of city streets and sustained pavement use over thousands of miles.
What is the Difference Between a Class 2 and Class 3 Electric Bike?
The main difference is the top assisted speed and the drive method. A Class 2 ebike provides assistance (often via a throttle) up to 20 mph. In contrast, a Class 3 electric bike provides pedal-assist up to 28 mph and is usually equipped with a speedometer. Because they lack a low-speed throttle and require rider input for higher speeds, Class 3 models are designed for "active commuting," allowing you to cover more ground faster while still enjoying the physical benefits of a traditional bicycle.
